The GPSMAP 556 boasts the brightest, sharpest, most colourful graphics you've ever seen on a 12.7 cm screen. It boasts a crisp VGA display; preloaded detailed maps for the U.K.; and simple, straightforward buttons and menus. You can add the optional BlueChart® g2 Vision SD™ card for even more enhanced features.

The MAP 556 is supplied with internal GPS antenna, however an external antenna can be bought as an optional accessory (see accessories button).

Navigate with Ease

The 556 includes detailed coastal maps for the U.K. as well as a worldwide basemap of satellite images for other areas. The SD card slot makes it easy to add additional maps without connecting to a computer. And with a simple, intuitive interface and high-speed processor, the 555 makes navigating easy.

Add Sonar

The sounder version, GPSMAP 556s, comes with a powerful digital sounder (up to 1 kW) and has the option of connecting a dual frequency transducer that clearly paints depth contours, fish targets and structure. It's also CANet™ compatible, so you can share sounder data with another chartplotter on your boat.

Add Extras with BlueChart g2 Vision

With the optional BlueChart g2 Vision SD card, you can add a whole new dimension of exceptional features to your chartplotter.

• 3D mariner's eye view or fish eye view provides you with a 3-dimensional perspective of chart information, both above the waterline and below it.
